IIT Kharagpur will set up a centre on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing in Hyderabad. Before beginning the centre, the institute is planning to offer a six-month course on these subjects in February 2019 which is called Foundation in AI and ML.

"As the Hyderabad is emerging as an IT hub, the institute has chosen the city which has



better access from a tech point of view," said Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, IT department of Telangana. He also said that the government is likely to allocate 2,000 sqft space for the centre in Kukatpally. Along with IIT Kharagpur centre, the building will also have Nasscom's CoEs on AI, data science and cybersecurity.
