Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday  tore apart the Congress for spreading canards against irrigation projects.
A huge number of TRS workers welcomed Chandrasekhar Rao, irrigation minister T Harish Rao and other officials of the irrigation department at Begumpet airport, when they returned from Mumbai on Wednesday. The chief minister signed three agreements with Maharashtra government on Godavari irrigation projects on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Addressing the gathering at Begumpet airport, Rao took a swipe at TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy for stating that the Congress had signed an agreement with Maharashtra for the construction of Tummadi Hatti with a height of 152 metres.
“If you are a sincere leader, come to Begumpet airport. I will wait for half-an-hour for you. If you come with the

copy of the agreement on Tummadi Hatti for 152 metres, I will go straight to the Raj Bhavan and submit my resignation. I will also quit public life,” Rao dared Uttam Kumar Reddy.
“If Tummadi Hatti agreement was a fact, what did the Congress do between 2008 and 2014,” Rao wanted to know from Uttam Kumar Reddy.Rao recalled that it was under the Congress that Nandikonda project changed to Nagarjunasagar. Rao also pointed several injustices done to Telangana irrigation sector in the combined Andhra Pradesh.
“There is no corruption in the last two years in the state under TRS rule. The Congress is making false allegations against the government,” Rao alleged.
He reiterated his earlier warning that he would not spare the Congress and TDP for making false allegations and slap cases against them.
