Hydra saves 7 acres of government land in the old city, fences around land worth about Rs 400 crore.
The people of the old city praised Hydra In the old city, where even a yard of free space is difficult to find and where millions of people live, an influential person had occupied the entire 7 acres of land.
Hydra secured this government land on Friday. Regardless of the cases registered in the police station, ignoring the fines imposed by the court, the activities inside were hidden by building a fence with iron sheets all around. Hydra got this illegal occupation overturned and the land was vacated.
Amidst the presence of revenue officers and police arrangements, the iron sheets were removed and regular fencing was installed by Hydra. Hydra boards were also installed declaring the land as government property.
This move satisfied the locals and breathed a sigh of relief. The locals expressed happiness over the protection of
such a large, 7 acres of government land in the densely populated old city.
According to officials, the value of this land secured by Hydra is estimated to be around Rs 400 crore. If the ponds and drains destroyed by the encroachment mafia are restored, a pleasant environment like Bam Rukn Dola can be created.
Despite the cases, the encroachers, who are not afraid, are in Muhammad Nagar-Lalita Bagh area of Kandikal village, Bandlaguda mandal of Hyderabad district, near the railway track, Town Survey No. 28, Block: F, Ward No. 274, totaling 9.
There is 11 acres of government land. Out of this, 2 acres have already been occupied and residential houses have been built there. Without disturbing these houses, the remaining 7 acres of land in possession have been secured by Hydra.
According to the Survey of India maps, there was a pond at this place, but the occupants had covered all traces of it with soil.
