Hyderabadi bodybuilder wins Bronze at Mr. Olympia

Karunnapan Venkatesan of Hyderabad won a bronze in the ‘Mr Olympia’ bodybuilding competition in Las Vegas conducted by the INBA with participants from 16 countries taking part in it.

For the 49-year-old Venkatesan it was yet another creditable achievement considering this competition was drug free with stringent



anti-doping tests conducted for every competitor.

He also happens to be the only one from India to win a medal in this championship.

It may be mentioned here that Venkatesan won gold in the Classic Bodybuilding category and finished third overall in the ‘Natural Mr World Championship’ in Los Angeles last week.
