Participating in the 63rd Zoo Day anniversary celebrations on Tuesday, Kumar also launched the official monthly zoo newsletter, specialised animal health cards to track the medical care of the residents, and newly designed wildlife conservation posters.
The zoo boosted visitor transit by launching four newly procured
safari buses, expanding the capabilities of its popular safari circuit covering lions, tigers, bears and bison.
The Excellence in Zoo Services awards were presented to staff members to honour their upkeep and management efforts. Additionally, championship trophies were handed over to the winning employee teams of the recently concluded sports meet, which covered cricket, kabaddi, tug of war, musical chairs and other events.
