The Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 364 persons for driving under the influence of alcohol during a two-day special enforcement drive conducted on March 13 and 14.
According to traffic officials, the majority of offenders were two-wheeler riders, accounting for 313 cases. In addition, 25 three-wheeler drivers and 26 four-wheeler and other vehicle drivers were also caught during the
checks.
Police said the recorded Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels of the offenders varied. A total of 66 drivers had BAC levels between 30 and 50, while 174 cases were recorded in the 51 to 100 range.
Authorities also booked 12 drivers with BAC levels between 201 and 250, eight cases in the 251 to 300 range, and seven drivers whose BAC levels were above 300.
