The Hyderabad Traffic Police registered a total of 1,349 cases during a week-long special drive against motorists obstructing free-left movements and minors driving vehicles.
The special drive, conducted from August 12 to 18, resulted in 1,015 cases for obstructing free-left movements and 334 cases involving minor driving.
Traffic officials said the enforcement drive would continue to improve traffic discipline and enhance road safety.
Motorists were advised not to block
free-left lanes, which are intended to facilitate the smooth movement of traffic at junctions.
The Traffic Police also cautioned vehicle owners and parents against allowing minors to drive.
Vehicle owners were reminded that permitting an unlicensed person to drive a vehicle was an offence and could attract legal action.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police further requested road users to follow traffic rules and cooperate with enforcement personnel to ensure safer roads and smoother traffic flow.
