Hyderabad traffic police announce diversions for Sunday marathon

The Hyderabad traffic police have announced traffic diversions at several key junctions in the city on Sunday in view of the Hyderabad Runners Marathon Run.

The traffic restrictions will be implemented on a need basis from 4.30 am. to 9.30 am. The marathon will commence at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road and conclude at G.M.C. Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli, covering major stretches including NTR Marg, Tank Bund, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Punjagutta, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 45 and Durgam Cheruvu Cable

According to the traffic advisory, vehicles approaching Necklace Road from Ministers Road and Ranigunj will be diverted at Nallagutta junction. Traffic from Punjagutta and Raj Bhavan towards Khairatabad Flyover and Necklace Rotary will be diverted at V.V. Statue towards Shadan and Nirankari Bhavan.

Several diversions will also be imposed around Tank Bund, including at Telangana Thalli Flyover, Ambedkar Statue, Children’s Park, Kavadiguda X Road and DBR Mills, depending on the movement of the marathon runners.
