Hyderabad to host SKAL World Congress in 2017

Hyderabad will be hosting the SKAL International Congress from October 5 to 8 in 2017.

“At the general assembly of SKAL International Congress 2016 which is being held in Monaco, International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals comprising  1,000 operators throughout the world from 88 countries have unanimously voted for Hyderabad  as the next convention centre,” a release from Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC)  said here on Wednesday.

SKAL is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only



international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry.Its members, the industry’s managers and executives meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest. This convention will catapult Telangana particularly Hyderabad into the international tourist circuit. The event   mean a qualitative and quantitative jump in footfall of foreign tourists.

TSTDC chariman Pervaram Ramulu expressed his happiness and congratulated Vijay Mohan Raj and Mohan Kennedy of SKAL Hyderabad for bagging the bid against serious contenders such as Singapore and Bangkok.
