Hyderabad to host Indywood Film Carnival

Minister for Cinematography T Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday said that the upcoming Indiwood Film Carnival would immensely help Telangana and other states of the country to acquire new technology and funds for the development of cinematography.
Addressing the media about the Film Carnival to be held in the city from September 24 to 27, he said that it was a great pleasure for him to see that Hyderabad has become the stage for the Asia’s biggest film carnival. He said that the programme would be jointly conducted by Telangana government and the Ramoji Film City, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken special interest in organizing the event, and all the stake holders of Telugu Film industry would take part in it.
The minister said that objective of this event was to see that all the forms of arts of film industry come under one umbrella, they adopt new trend and technology to produce films with great technical values. Film Federation of India, Bharat Motion Pictures Producers Association, Telugu Cinema Producers Council, Incredible India, tourism departments of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat would participate in the programme.
The efforts of Sohan Roy of Aeries Group were appreciable for taking up such a big programme. As many as two thousand representatives of 75 countries would participate in it, luminaries of India, Hollywood, European and Chinese film industries would arrive here to take part, and 20,000 guests were expected. A mega exhibition would be held with 200 stalls, it would provide the details of the film production of 80 countries, efforts were on to exhibit about 200 films and 1000 short films and seminars and group discussions would take place.
The carnival would be attended by big financiers, about 300, from all over the world and about 100 institutions have evinced interest to select new artists. Exhibition of new technologies and all-time favorite films would be held. The programmes of the event were designed in way that launching of new films production takes place and experiences of important persons of film industry are shared. Popular animation film makers like Disney, Paramount, Dream World, Apkarz, Canes and Dubai Film Market would participate. Countries like Mauritius and Fiji which encourage film tourism would attend the programme.
