Hyderabad to host 76th Ravana Dahan at Ganesh Ghat

As part of the Dasara celebrations organised by the Vijayadashami Seemollanghana Committee and Narayana Kala Charitable and Cultural Trust, the 76th Ravana Dahan will be held at Ganesh Ghat in Puranapul on October 20 from 7.02 pm.

Committee president T Jitender Singh said the event had been organised for the past 76 years and was among the oldest Ravana Dahan celebrations in Telangana and the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. He said a procession featuring Lord Sri Ramachandra and various tableaux organised by the Sri Veerashaiva Kakkayya Samaj of Jiaguda would



arrive at Ganesh Ghat on the occasion.

Former Goshamahal corporator G Mukesh Singh, Lodh Kshatriya Sadar Panchayat convenor M Mahesh Singh, advocate Badrinath Singh Pattedar, K Gopal Singh, Premalatha Patel, GST Deputy Commissioner A Ashok Singh, and BJP leader and senior advocate Rakesh Singh will attend the programme as special guests.

Committee vice-president Manoj Singh, T Kishan Singh, general secretary Virendra Taudhekar, treasurer Sandeep Singh, advisor D Ram Singh and other members were present at the release of the publicity material.
