For the past ten days, the maximum temperatures in Hyderabad hovered between 41 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius. However, on Monday, the temperatures soared beyond 43 degrees Celsius mark.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the maximum temperature reached 43.2 degrees Celsius in Ameerpet on Monday, followed by Qutbullahpur (42.5), Shapur Nagar (42.1) and Balanagar (42.1). This was for the first time



that temperatures had crossed 43 degrees Celsius mark in the city this summer, which is four degrees above normal in April.

The average temperature in Hyderabad city recorded by India Meteorological Department (IMD) at its Begumpet office on Monday was 41.2 degrees Celsius. Its forecast in the city indicated that temperatures could rise further and hover around 43 degrees Celsius during this week.
