Hyderabad sizzles at 42.2 degree Celsius

The maximum temperature in Hyderabad returned to 40s on Thursday to be pegged at 42.2 degree Celsius. The heatwave warning for Telangana, meanwhile was repeated by the Indian Meteorological Department on Thursday as well, cautioning the public of heatwave conditions in all districts of the State for the next 48 hours.

While the maximum temperature had shown a departure of 2.6 degrees, the minimum temperature too went up by two degrees to stay at 28.8 degree Celsius on Thursday. IMD Hyderabad, in its



seven day forecast, has said that the next three days were likely to witness maximum temperatures around 42 degree Celsius. At the same time, the weather could see a partly cloudy sky in the morning hours becoming generally cloudy towards evening with the possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied with squall.

Across the State, all the 11 weather stations recorded temperatures above 40 on Thursday as well, with Nalgonda topping the chart again with 46.4 degree Celsius.
