With the night temperatures dropping everyday, it is no wonder that the city witnessed the lowest minimum temperature in the month of December, in a decade on Saturday.

The night temperature of 8.4 degree Celsius was recorded in the early hours of Saturday at Patancheru.

Previously, Hyderabad had recorded the lowest temperature of 9.5 degree Celsius, on December 13, 2015.

The overall minimum temperature of the city was at 12.5 degree Celsius, which is at least two degrees less than normal. According to India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad officials, the



temperatures were likely to fall further. As per the forecast for the next five days, the minimum temperature in Hyderabad is likely to dip by three to four degree Celsius, along with surface wind of six to eight kph.

The IMD-H has also issued a Yellow alert for the city till December 21.

Many districts of Telangana witnessed single digit temperatures in the early hours of Saturday, with Sangareddy recording the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5 degree Celsius. The IMD-H has issued an Orange warning for districts including Adilabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Jagtial and Mahabubabad for the next few days.
