With a large number of devotees expected to travel for the Medaram Jatara, the Hyderabad Police have launched a child safety wristband initiative to prevent children from getting separated in crowded areas.

A special stall was inaugurated at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS), Afzalgunj, on Tuesday to issue QR-code–enabled wristbands for children. The initiative is being implemented

by the Hyderabad City Police in association with Vodafone Idea (VI).

The stall was inaugurated by DCP Golconda Zone, G Chandra Mohan, in the presence of senior police officials and MGBS authorities.

Each wristband carries a unique QR code containing essential details such as the child’s name, parent or guardian’s name, contact number, and residential address.
