The Hyderabad Police have destroyed seized narcotic drugs valued at Rs 4.56 crore as part of the first phase of drug disposal for 2025.
The operation was conducted by the Drug Disposal Committee on Monday, under the supervision of Detective Department DCP N Swetha.
A total of 1,285 kg of narcotics, including 1,585.9 kg of marijuana, 159.4 grams of MDMA, 6.4 grams of cocaine, 4.6 grams of ecstasy pills, 4,450 ml of hashish oil, 4 LSD blots, and other
psychotropic substances were destroyed.
These drugs are related to 128 NDPS cases registered between 2019 and 2025 across 26 police stations in the city, officials said.
The drugs were disposed of at GJ Multiclave (India) Pvt Ltd, a bio-medical waste management facility, located at Edulapalle in Nandigama of Rangareddy district.
Last year, the Hyderabad Police destroyed narcotic substances worth over Rs 10.56 crore in two phases covering 326 cases.
