Hyderabad police announce liquor outlet closure 'Bonalu festival'

Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, on Thursday, issued an order directing the closure of liquor outlets in connection with the Mahankali Bonalu festival from 10 am on August 9 to 10 am on August 10 in the Rajendranagar and Golconda zones.

Similarly, liquor outlets in the Charminar zone will remain closed



from 10 am on August 9 to 10 am on August 11. The orders were issued in view of the Mahankali Bonalu festival.

The Commissioner said wine shops, toddy shops and bars attached to restaurants would remain closed. However, bars attached to star hotels and registered clubs have been exempted from the closure order.
