Some areas on the city outskirts experienced moderate rain on Monday evening, providing relief to locals. The Met department has forecast partly cloudy skies with possibility of thunder and lightning for the next four days but the day temperatures will not see a major dip. 

The city



recorded 39.8ºC on Monday against 40ºC on Sunday. The maximum temperatures likely to be up to 3ºC above normal at a few places in the state.

A hailstorm lashed Gajwel and  damaged hundreds of acres of paddy, cotton, maize, mango, tomato, cucumber and leafy vegetables.
