Metro Rail services will resume from Monday in a graded manner. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited and L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL) are all set to commence the services on Miyapur-LB Nagar route on the first day with a frequency of five minutes. Services will be operated from 7 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 5pm.

For safety and convenience of passengers, cashless travel will be encouraged. In a video message on Twitter, LTMRHL Managing Director and CEO K V B Reddy said that passengers can avail smart cards or QR code ticketing options. Paper QR generators are also being arranged at the stations for the convenience of passengers, he said.

Wearing masks is mandatory for both passengers and Metro staff and those failing to follow

these rules will be penalised. Due to containment zone guidelines, Gandhi Hospital, Bharat Nagar, Moosapet, Musheerabad and Yousufguda stations will not be opened for passengers. The train frequency will be improved or decreased depending on the passenger traffic to avoid crowding at the stations.

Services on Nagole-Raidurg route will commence from September 8 with similar train schedule as operated on Miyapur-LB Nagar route. From September 9, services will commence on all three corridors from 7 am to 9 pm.

In order to ensure social distancing, suitable markings at stations and inside trains are done for passengers to stand. Alternate seats will be marked with ‘X’ inside the train and kept vacant.
