Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar held a coordination meeting with officials of various government departments in view of the forthcoming Eid al-Adha (Bakrid) festival.

He stressed the need for the officers of the three commissionerates and neighbouring districts coordinate properly to ensure cattle transporters compulsorily carry the certificate issued by the animal husbandry department. The festival is expected to be held on full scale as due to Covid19 it was a low key affair at most of the households last

year.

Anjani Kumar asked all the departments including the animal husbandry, road transport and police officials of the three commissionerates to coordinate with each other round-the-clock.

The animal husbandry officials said that doctors are posted at all the cattle yard to verify the animal and issue certificates. The transport department will be deploying its personnel to make arrangements.

In the meeting Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner (traffic), D S Chauhan, Additional Commissioner (law and order) and other officers participated.
