Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar here on Thursday appealed to the devotees to celebrate Sri Hanuman Jayanthi peacefully.
Speaking after performing puja at Sri Ram Mandir Gowliguda, he said the Hyderabad and Malkajgiri police made elaborate arrangements for the peaceful conduct of the celebrations followed by rallies taken from different places.
This year, approximately 168 tributary processions from various parts of the
city will join the main rally - ‘Sri Veera Hanuman Vijay Yatra’ organized by the Bajrang Dal - from Sri Ram Mandir in Gowliguda.
The rallies would culminate at Sri Tadbund Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple in Secunderabad. “We have taken all precautionary measures for the successful conduct of the celebrations,” he said, adding that a constant vigil is being maintained using surveillance cameras and drones covering the 12.5 km yatra route from Gowliguda to Secunderabad.
