Muslims across Hyderabad celebrated Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed. The occasion is observed on the 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Hijri calendar.

To mark the occasion, religious meetings were organised at various places across the city. A big public meeting was organised at the Numaish Grounds by the All India Tameer-e-Millat. Several eminent personalities attended the meeting. On the other hand, All India Bazm-e-Rehmat-e-Alam presented Deepak Kumar, popularly known as ‘Muhammad’

Several socio-religious organisations conducted blood donation camps. The FOCUS organisation is holding a camp at the Asafia Library in Afzalgunj. Blood donation camps are also being held at the Charminar Bus Stand and Vijay Nagar Colony.

Several small processions from different parts joined the main procession. Similar local processions were taken out at Golconda, Borabanda, Erragadda, Sanathnagar, Hafeezpet, Bowenpally and other areas.
