Hyderabad Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour across Hyderabad on Saturday. 

While various Central and State government departments celebrated the occasion at their respective offices with patriotism, several commercial and residential welfare associations members hoisted the national flag to mark the occasion.

They paid tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.



The members of the associations sang patriotic songs and distributed sweets to people.

Under the aegis of the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate, the Independence Day celebrations were conducted with rich patriotic fervor and grandeur at the CAR Headquarters, Petlaburz. Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar attended as the chief guest and unfurled the national flag. He later received the ceremonial Guard of Honour.
