The Hyderabad district is gearing up to begin the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) of electoral rolls, with the final lists scheduled for publication on October 1, District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan said.

On Monday, Karnan, while addressing media persons, said that trained staff have been deployed across all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district to ensure the revision process proceeds smoothly.

Reviewing the pre-SIR mapping data, the DEO said that the total number of electors stands at 47,36,669. Out of these, 22,09,647 voters (46.65 per cent) have been successfully mapped up to May 26, 2026, leaving 25,27,022 electors unmapped.

“To manage the 4,062 polling stations across the district, a total of 10,901 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) have been appointed by various recognised  political parties,” Karnan said.

As per the schedule, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will begin distributing enumeration forms through house-to-house (H2H) visits from June 25, with a deadline to complete the process by July 24. The GHMC

chief pointed out that the BLOs would guide voters in filling out the forms during the door-to-door visits.

Electors can also download pre-filled enumeration forms and upload completed applications along with supporting documents online by visiting the official portal [www.voters.eci.in](http://www.voters.eci.in) or using the ECI App.

The forms can be signed by either the elector or any adult family member. No document, either Aadhaar Card or Voter ID Card, would be collected from electors during the enumeration process, the official added.

To resolve public queries regarding the SIR, dedicated help desks have been set up at all 15 ERO offices in the 15 Assembly constituencies, as well as at the main offices of the District Election Officer (DEO) and the Commissioner, GHMC, Karnan said.

Karnan said that draft electoral rolls will be published on July 31, 2026, while the final publication will be on October 1, 2026. The DEO warned that holding more than one voter registration is an offence punishable under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
