Works for the 39 sewerage treatment plants (STPs) proposed under the Amrut-2.0 scheme will be taken up by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) before Dasara, HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy said during a review meeting on Thursday.
The State government has granted administrative approval for construction of STPs in municipalities and municipal corporation areas within the ORR limits, with an expenditure of Rs 3,849.10 crore under the Amrut-2.0 scheme.
Ashok Reddy reviewed the progress of the 39 STPs to be constructed under Package-2 with officials and representatives of construction
agencies. He directed officials to expedite acquisition of litigation-free land for the proposed STPs and identify alternative sites if required.
