HMWSSB Postponds Godavari water pipeline work for 2 days due to Holi festival

Hyderabad: Holi festival, which falls on March 7 and 8, the water board has decided to delay the Godavari main pipe works by 24 hours. Due to the fact that the supply of water will be affected in numerous locations, the decision has been made to avoid inconvenience to the general public.  The HMWSSB will start work on the pipeline on March 9 and arrangements for the same will be made in the next 48



hours.

The Godavari main 3000 mm diameter pumping main pipe line bridge passing, bypassing, and interconnection works will be carried out at Kukunoor Palli in the Siddipet district as part of the Godavari Drinking Water Supply (GDWSS) phase-1, as stated by Dana Kishore, managing director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). The line supplies fresh water to Hyderabad.
