The affected reservoir command areas include Shastripuram, Bandlaguda, Shamshabad, Madhuban, Durga Nagar, Suleman Nagar, PDP, Golden Heights, Attapur, Kismatpur, 9 Number, Allabanda, Bhojagutta, Gandhanguda, Prasanna Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Tattikhana, Gachibowli and Madhapur, besides some areas under Shaikpet reservoir.
In a press statement, the HMWSSB said drinking water
supply may be fully or partially disrupted or available at low pressure in several areas for 24 hours from 10 am on August 29 due to pipeline junction work at Bandlaguda X Road. The work will continue until 10 am on August 30.
The GHMC is constructing a box drain at the junction, requiring work on the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-III, Ring Main-I pipeline, which lies along the proposed drain’s alignment, it said.
Consumers in areas facing interruptions have been asked to use water sparingly, officials made a plea.
