The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across Telangana on September 26 and 27, owing to a cyclonic system forming over the Bay of Bengal. 

According to officials, a low-pressure area is expected to develop on September 25, which may intensify into a cyclonic storm by September 26. The system is likely to cross the coast between southern Odisha and north coastal Andhra Pradesh on September



27.

On September 26, districts including Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are likely to receive widespread rainfall ranging from 10 cm to 20 cm.

Further, on September 27, scattered showers are expected in Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts.
