The Indian Meteorological Department released a weather bulletin warning Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for heavy to very heavy rainfall. The Met department said that both Telugu states are likely to receive heavy rains in the next 24 hours as a low pressure area over Bay of Bengal covering the adjoining states of Jharkhand and West Bengal has become less marked.

The Met Department has forecast light to heavy rains accompanied by thunder in many places mostly in north Telangana from Sunday to Wednesday.

According to the weather department, heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts of Telangana on Sunday while Mehboob Nagar, Medak, Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts will receive rain on Monday. Rain will continue to lash the state till the middle of next week.
