Heavy rains halt water supply for two days in Secunderabad Cantonment

Heavy rainfall on Wednesday night has resulted in flooding at the Balamrai water pump house premises, rendering the pumps inoperable. Nearly one lakh people will be affected due to the affected water supply.

Officials from the Secunderabad Cantonment Board‘s water wing visited the Balamrai Pump



House on Thursday, assessed the situation, and announced disruptions in the water supply.

“Consequently, there will be no water supply for the next two days in areas served by the Balamrai pump house, including Picket, Mudfort, and Balamrai,” according to SCB water wing superintendent S Raj Kumar.
