Heavy gales and rains on Tuesday caused havoc in the IT Corridor, with more than 14 trees reported fallen, mainly in the Cyberabad IT corridor, leading to severe traffic congestion.

Traffic snarls were reported in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Yousufguda, Hafeezpet, Miyapur, and Madhapur areas after the evening

rains.

An electricity pole and a tree also fell on the road between Gachibowli and DLF route, forcing authorities to close the road temporarily. Traffic in other parts of the IT Corridor was affected as more trees fell due to the strong winds.

All tree falls were attended by DRF teams, and the roads were cleared by midnight.
