Heavy rain, thunderstorms likely across Telangana over weekend

After enduring a prolonged dry spell, Telangana can finally expect some relief from the weather.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issued a forecast on Friday indicating a shift in the weather pattern, with much-needed rainfall and thunderstorms expected just in time for the weekend and Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.

For Saturday and Sunday, the IMD, Hyderabad, has forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places across Telangana. For Monday, the forecast



indicates widespread thunderstorms and light to moderate rain.

Apart from the rainfall alert, the Hyderabad weather department has forecast light to moderate showers and thunderstorms at isolated locations until Wednesday.

For Hyderabad, the coming week is likely to remain cloudy, with spells of thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures will range between 30 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will remain between 23 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, the forecast said.
