The areas in the south of the city, primarily covering the older parts of the city, have been receiving heavy rains for the last three days.

The localities in Bandlaguda, Bahadurpura, Charminar, Shahalibanda, Yakutpura, Falaknuma, Kanchanbagh, and Rajendranagar witnessed bountiful rains during the three days. Following the heavy downpour, several low-lying areas were



inundated, and promptly the official machinery swung into action.

The automated weather stations at Aliabad recorded 30 mm rainfall in 24 hours up till 8.30 am on Wednesday, Phoolbagh – 48.8 mm, Chandulal Baradari – 57.3 mm, Doodhbowli – 51.8 mm, Ghansi Bazaar – 44.5 mm, Sardar Mahal, 28.33 mm, Kandikalgate – 42.5 mm, Shahalibanda – 31.5 mm and Yakutpura 25.8 mm.
