Heavy rain continues to lash several parts of Telangana State

In Telangana, heavy rain continued to lash several parts of the state and several streams and rivulets are in spate. Met officials also warned of heavy rains for another 48 hours. 

Very heavy rainfall exceeding 11.5 cms was recorded at 22 places in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla, and Komaram Bhim Asifabad districts of Telangana during the past 24 hours. 

Magidi in Nizamabad district received since



yesterday a maximum of 19.5 cms of very heavy rainfall till 6AM Tuesday morning. 

Several places in North Telangana and rest of the state also received heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, the state authorities have been put on as projects are receiving heavy inflows. 

Met officials warned of heavy rains for another two days due to a low pressure in the north-west Bay of Bengal.
