The Moosarambagh Bridge was shut down on Friday late at night due to heavy inflows released into Musi River from the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar.

Police have put up barricades on either sides of the bridge and implemented traffic diversions to manage the increased water levels and ensure public

safety.

This is the fourth time in last one month that the bridge has been closed after HMWSSB officials released surplus floodwater into Musi.

Commuters were advised to use alternative routes and diversion plans included redirecting traffic through nearby overpasses and underpasses to alleviate congestion and maintain the flow of vehicles, a police official said.
