Headmaster arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting LKG student in Jagtial

A headmaster of a private school was arrested on Friday on charges of sexually assaulting an LKG student at a village in Dharmapuri mandal.

Police said the headmaster, Challa Srinivas, was apprehended after a case was registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences



(POCSO) Act, 2012. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police. An investigation has been taken up.

The headmaster allegedly sexually assaulted the student. The girl mustered the courage to narrate the incident to her mother, who, in turn, approached the police. Further details are awaited.
