Hyderabad Cricket Association president A Jagan Mohan Rao and the representatives of the BCCI and the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchisee inspected the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal) here on Wednesday as part of the preparations for the forthcoming IPL as the venue hosts the home games of former champions Sunrisers.
Jagan Mohan said that the renovation works of Uppal Stadium were going at a rapid pace, costing Rs 5 crores.

He instructed the staff to speed up the work as the



first IPL match is going to be held in another ten days. He said that the entire stadium was being painted, new rest rooms are being constructed in the North Stands, and ACs and tiles are being changed in the cricketers’ dressing rooms and corporate boxes.

“SRH also supports under the CSR scheme for stadium renovation works,” he said.

Messrs. Vaibhav and Yuvraj from the BCCI, and Saravanan and Rohit from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team management were present.
