Harish Rao slams Congress over employee benefits, pending arrears

Senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao on Monday came down heavily on the Congress government, accusing it of betraying government employees by failing to honour key promises even after two years in power. 

He questioned the inordinate delay in release of retirement benefits, implementation of Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

Assembly, Harish Rao said the Congress had assured immediate implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) and arrears, and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

None of these promises have been fulfilled even after two years. Employees are being deceived,” he said, urging Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to immediately release arrears to serving and retired employees.
