BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao slammed the Congress government over betraying farmers by delaying the release of Rythu Bharosa financial assistance on Wednesday, demanding that the government stop election dramas and honour its commitments to farmers.
Stating that no government built on the sufferings of farmers has survived, Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for abandoning pre-election
promises after assuming office.
He recalled that at a public meeting in Miryalaguda on February 4 this year, the Chief Minister had claimed that allocations were already made and had also assured that Rythu Bharosa funds would be credited to farmers’ accounts immediately after the municipal elections.
However, more than ten days after the election code was lifted, there has been no disbursement.
