The opposition BRS party leaders, including working President KT Rama Rao, MLA Harish Rao, and others, were detained by the police while protesting against the state government.
The BRS leaders had come to attend the Assembly session on Monday wearing black T-shirts and raising slogans against the Telangana Congress government's 1000 days of rule.
They alleged that while Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi was allowed inside the Parliament wearing a black T-shirt,
they were not being allowed inside the Telangana Assembly.
Heavy police deployment has been put in place outside the Telangana Legislative Assembly as the Assembly session is set to begin on Monday, amid a call by the BJP to lay siege to the Assembly over various issues.
Security arrangements have been strengthened around the Assembly premises, with police personnel deployed at key entry and exit points and other sensitive locations in anticipation of the BJP protest.
