The Veer Hanuman Jayanthi procession was taken out in the city amidst religious fervour on Thursday, from Ram Mandir, Gowliguda, to Hanuman temple at Tadbund, Secunderabad.
Thousands of people carrying saffron flags and chanting religious slogans participated in the procession, which covered a distance of around 13 kilometres. The main procession passed through Koti, Sultan Bazaar, Kachiguda, Narayanguda, RTC Cross
Roads, Kavadiguda, Bible House, Paradise Junction and reached Tadbund in the evening.
Several local religious organisations set up stages to welcome the procession. Some local youth volunteers served food, snacks and water to the participants. Children dressed as freedom fighters and religious figures joined the procession. Food camps were also organised at several places for the convenience of the devotees by local groups.
