Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Thursday said that the Congress achieved excellent results in the Gram Panchayat (GP) elections that were conducted in three phases in the State.
The same results will be repeated in the 2029 Assembly elections as well, he said while interacting with media persons at his residence in Jubilee Hills. He thanked all the Congress workers who worked hard for the party's
victory.
Stating that the elections in more than 12,000 Gram Panchayats in the State were held peacefully and democratically, the Chief Minister congratulated officials for conducting the elections smoothly.
Out of 12,702 Panchayats, Congress won 7,527 seats and Congress rebels won 808 seats in these elections. In all, 66 percent of the results were secured by Congress and Congress rebels emerging victorious in 8,335 Panchayats.
