In the wake of the RTC strike, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that the State government will extend full support to the family of driver Shankar Goud, who died by suicide. 

He said that one member of the bereaved family will be given a government job. The minister also announced a financial assistance of ₹10 lakh and an Indiramma house for the family. 

He urged RTC JAC leaders to take the initiative in



ensuring the completion of Shankar Goud’s last rites. 

He further advised opposition parties not to politicise the issue during this difficult time. Meanwhile, a meeting between RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders and a panel of ministers, led by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, is underway at the Secretariat. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, Vivek, and Adluri Laxman Kumar are participating in the discussions.
