Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao came to the venue at about 8.30 a.m. and after spending a few minutes with Mr. Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan, escorted the First Citizen to the project site. Ministers who were present included Etala Rajender, T. Harish Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao, apart from Advisors to Government A.P.V.N. Sarma and A.K. Mohanthy.
