GHMC to go after illegal constructions

The vigilance cell in coordination with the town planning wing will be remove identified unauthorised buildings, GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore said on Thursday. 

Mr Kishore sought a detailed report on the number of notices issued circle wise, unauthorised constructions, deviations, court cases and other relevant information on priority.

He said, “It has been observed that a lot of complaints are



coming from the citizens of which 80 per cent pertain to town planning issues. It has been noticed that several unauthorised constructions are taking place and there is every need to check this, failing which stern action will be taken against officials.”

He said officials must visit the site from the day the permissions have been sanctioned and ensure that constructions take place as per norms.
