GHMC official catches red-handed by ACB

The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday caught red-handed the GHMC Charminar zone office superintendent Vadthya Phool Singh for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe.

According to the officials, the accused, Vadthya Phool Singh demanded Rs 5,000 from the complainant A Kranthi Kumar, to process the file to sanction amount for funeral expenses.

Singh, who works at circle 10 office in Charminar zone, allegedly demanded bribe as



a reward for processing the file to sanction the funeral charges of Kumar’s mother and to handover the sanctioned cheque of Rs 20,000, according to a press release.

The ACB officials recovered the amount from the possession of Singh and the chemical test conducted on him yielded positive result. Officials produced Singh before the special court for ACB cases after which the court remanded him to judicial custody.
