GHMC issues notices to meat and beef shop vendors

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Sunday issued 695 notices to meat and beef shop vendors directing them to procure only stamped meat and beef from the municipal corporation’s slaughterhouses.

Among the six zones, the highest number of notices – 186 was issued in Khairatabad zone, followed by 185 in Kukatpally



zone and 134 in Charminar zone.

The idea was to make the meat and beef vendors procure and sell only stamped meat from GHMC slaughterhouses and adhere to the prescribed rules and regulations, failing which action will be initiated against them, said GHMC Chief Veterinary Officer, Abdul Wakil.
