The works on the Moosarambagh bridge over the river Musi have hit obstacles after hard rock strata were encountered, further slowing down the progress of the project. Officials estimate that this development could end up delaying the project completion by two years.
Officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) told ‘Telangana Today’ that the works were halted after the unexpected encounter with hard rock
strata.
“This has affected excavation and foundation activity, requiring additional time for drilling and related operations before construction can proceed at the planned pace,” an official said.
With new works required to tackle the rocks and resolve the situation, the project schedule has been disturbed, the official said, adding, “this could drag the works for another two years before the project is completed.”
