Scores of commuters will soon get major relief as the free left works near Tri-Island, close to BRK Bhavan, are completed. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which had taken up the works here, is planning to open it in a day or two.

For more than a year, the free left near BRK Bhavan was closed due to the beautification of Tri-Island to ease traffic congestion for commuters heading towards the Secretariat and

Lakdi-ka-Pul.

Traffic cops received many complaints from daily commuters that, due to the closure of the free left lane, accidents were often reported.

Based on the complaints received by the city traffic police wing higher-ups, the GHMC decided to reopen the closed free left and started civil works, including widening the free left road and partially demolishing the bridge at Tri-Island to make way for the commuters.
