GHMC Committee proposes renaming Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor

GHMC Standing Committee on Monday decided to forward a proposal to the State government to rename the Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor as ‘Sri Bandari Raji Reddy Corridor’.

Bandari Raji Reddy was former Congress MLA from Uppal and died in May 2025.

The GHMC Standing Committee meeting was the last Standing Committee



meeting as the five-year tenure of the present council will be concluded on February 10.

The Standing Committee also considered certain infra works for administrative sanction and permission to call for tenders.

Meanwhile, the progress sheet of the works taken up from 2012 to 2026 was released at the Standing Committee meeting.
